Hey there, I’m Tracy.

I am a professional business-to-business copywriter with an inquisitive and investigative mind… motivated by challenges and transforming the impossible into reality.

Education

My interest in science began when I was in my early 20s and I became curious about nutrition. One question led to another. Before long I was taking biology and chemistry classes, filling my hunger for more information.

I hold an Associate in Science Degree in Business Administration from Robert Morris University as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree in Ecology & Evolution from The University of Pittsburgh. While studying at Pitt, I worked in as many ecology labs, greenhouses, and biology labs as I could fit into my schedule.

Work Experience

My investigative nature and knack for finding ways improve things led to a position being created specifically for me by the biology lab program coordinator. As the Developmental Specialist, I tested current and new experiments then wrote the protocol or suggested improvements.

After graduating, I moved to North Carolina to work at a biotech company in Research Triangle Park. Being able to work with various groups in that facility (including the greenhouse) allowed me to gain insight and play a role in many of the projects that were in the works.

With the birth of my second child in 2008, I chose to take a break from full-time work. My copywriting career now gives me the mental challenge, variety, and flexibility I need to flourish. Having an excuse to do research and study is an added bonus.

My work experience includes laboratory, greenhouse, and scientific research, customer service, corporate property and casualty insurance, and food service. I’ve worked with businesses ranging from global and Fortune 100 companies to small start-ups.

Do you think we’d make a good team? Let’s talk.
