About Me

Hey there, I’m Tracy.

I am a professional business-to-business copywriter with an inquisitive and investigative mind…motivated by challenges and transforming the seemingly impossible into reality.

My interest in science began when I was in my early 20s and I became curious about nutrition. One question led to another and before long, I was taking biology and chemistry classes, filling my hunger for more information.

I hold an Associate in Science Degree in Business Administration from Robert Morris University as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree in Ecology & Evolution from The University of Pittsburgh, where I worked in as many ecology research and biology labs as I could fit in while a student.

Work Experience

My investigative nature and penchant for finding ways improve things led to a position being created specifically for me by the biology lab program coordinator. As Developmental Specialist, I tested current and new experiments, and wrote the protocol or suggested improvements.

After graduating, I moved to North Carolina to work at a biotech company in Research Triangle Park. From Greenhouse Technician to Senior Lab Tech, I was opportunely positioned to work with the majority of the groups in that facility. This allowed me to gain insight into and play a role in many of the projects that were in the works.

With the birth of my second child in 2008, I chose to take a break from full-time work. My copywriting career now gives me the mental challenge, variety, and flexibility I need to flourish.

My work experience includes laboratory, greenhouse, and scientific research, customer service, corporate property and casualty insurance, and food service. I’ve worked with businesses ranging from global and Fortune 100 companies to small entrepreneurial start-ups
